The wood used in this pen is over 5,000 years old, predating the Pyramids of Egypt. Irish Bog Oak forms over millennia in the unique environment of Ireland’s peat bogs. There, the anaerobic conditions preserve the timber and deepen its colour into rich, striking tones. Finished with the same natural oils used by traditional Irish Bog Oak sculptors, this pen allows you to fully experience the wood’s texture, grain, and extraordinary origin.

This is a really nice, handmade pen. It has a good weight in the hand & writes beautifully. It’s every bit as good as any pen costing twice or three times as much, with the advantage of having a little bit of Ireland at its heart.

I'm very satisfied with the quality of the pen overall. I am somewhat discontented, however, by the fact that I asked for a broad nib in the notes section of the pen and received a medium instead. It's something to bear in mind if you do not want a medium nib.

Delighted you are happy with the pen, the nib is my issue, I was to send you an email to confirm that the pen is sold with a medium nib as standard however we can install other specialist size nibs we purchase from Peter Bock in Germany but there is an additional charge for that.
