Shipping policy

All Irish Pens orders are carefully prepared and dispatched from our workshop in Kells, County Meath, Ireland.

Order Processing

Please allow up to 3 working days for us to handcraft and prepare your pen before dispatch.

If your order is urgent, please contact us before ordering and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Ireland & Northern Ireland

Pen orders within the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland are delivered using An Post Registered Post, with tracking provided.

Journals are sent using an An Post proof-of-delivery digital stamp.

Refills and bottled inks are sent by standard post.

Delivery charges are shown at checkout.

International Pen Delivery

International pen orders outside Ireland and Northern Ireland are delivered using DHL Express, with tracking provided.

DHL Express delivery is currently available to the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, selected Asian destinations and selected Gulf countries.

Available destinations and the applicable delivery charge are shown at checkout.

If your country is not currently available at checkout, please contact us. We will be happy to check whether DHL Express delivery can be arranged for you.

Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

Orders delivered outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, tariffs or other charges imposed by the destination country.

Any applicable customs duties, import taxes, tariffs or other destination-country charges are the responsibility of the purchaser and are not included in the price paid to Irish Pens.

Irish Pens does not determine, collect or control these charges.

Where import charges are payable on a DHL Express shipment, DHL will contact the email address supplied with the order with information regarding the amount due and how payment can be made.

Where import payment is required, the shipment may be held pending payment. Any delay caused by customs clearance or awaiting payment of applicable import charges is outside the normal DHL delivery transit time.

These delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Customs processing, import-payment requirements and circumstances outside the control of Irish Pens or the delivery carrier may affect delivery times.

Packaging

All inner packaging is recyclable and our outer mailer bags are biodegradable. We do not use bubble wrap.
