Terms of Service

At Irish Pens, we love what we do. Our aim is to provide every customer with a high-quality product and a straightforward, reliable purchasing experience. These terms outline what you can expect when shopping with us.

1. Shipping & Delivery

  • Origin: All Irish Pens products are dispatched from our workshop in Kells, County Meath, Ireland.
  • Ireland & Northern Ireland: Pen orders are delivered using An Post Registered Post. Journals are sent using an An Post proof-of-delivery digital stamp. Refills, ink cartridges and bottled ink are sent by standard post.
  • International Pen Orders: Pen orders outside Ireland and Northern Ireland are delivered using DHL Express to the international destinations available at checkout.
  • Delivery Charges: The applicable delivery charge is displayed at checkout before an order is completed.
  • Missed Deliveries: Customers and recipients are responsible for responding to delivery notifications and following reasonable instructions provided by the relevant delivery carrier.
  • Where a parcel cannot be delivered because delivery instructions have not been followed, further delivery or return charges may apply.

2. Tracking & Delivery

Tracking is provided for An Post Registered Post pen deliveries and DHL Express international pen deliveries.

Tracking details are supplied following dispatch where applicable.

Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance and begin from the date of dispatch. They are not guaranteed and may be affected by customs processing, import requirements, weather, carrier disruption or other circumstances outside the reasonable control of Irish Pens.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

3. Delivery Charges

Irish Pens subsidises the cost of delivery on many orders.

The delivery charge applicable to your destination and order is displayed at checkout before payment.

If your country is not currently available at checkout, please contact Irish Pens and we will be happy to check whether delivery can be arranged.

4. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

Orders delivered outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, tariffs or other charges imposed by the destination country.

Any applicable customs duties, import taxes, tariffs or other destination-country charges are the responsibility of the purchaser and are not included in the price paid to Irish Pens.

Irish Pens does not determine, collect or control these charges.

Where charges are payable on a DHL Express shipment, DHL may contact the email address supplied with the order to advise the amount payable and provide instructions for payment.

Where payment of import charges is required, the shipment may be held until payment has been completed.

Failure to pay applicable import charges or to respond to DHL may result in the shipment being returned to Irish Pens or otherwise handled in accordance with the carrier's procedures.

Any additional costs incurred as a result of unpaid import charges or a customer's failure to complete the required import process may be charged to the purchaser.
