Shannon Fountain Pen – Handmade from Irish Bog Oak with Bi-Colour Nib
Our Shannon fountain pen in bright gold is named after the largest river in Ireland—this pen is crafted to impress even the most seasoned connoisseur of fountain pen writing. Like a river of ink, the pen carries its user's thoughts and creativity from their consciousness to paper effortlessly.
Resting on a writing desk, nestled in a notebook, or standing proudly on a meeting room table, the Shannon fountain pen's design and the detail in the wood make it truly unique. It’s a gift that will captivate its user and be noticed by all who see it in use. Your gesture will be remembered every time the pen is held and its ink flows.
We do not rush things in Ireland. This pen has been crafted from Irish Bog Oak, older than the pyramids—more than 5,000 years in the making. The beauty of Bog Oak lies in its feel and colour. To preserve this, we finish our pens with special oils used by traditional Bog Oak sculptors, allowing you to experience the essence of Irish heritage in your hand.

My sisters were born a few days apart which means every November I have to buy them birthday presents. I had bought other pens from Irish Pens and was so impressed with the quality and selection of their products as well as the wonderful customer service. So, I bought my sisters pens and they loved them. One sister lives outside of Ireland so it was particularly special to receive an wholly Irish-made product. She told me this morning that she can't wait to show off her pen to her work colleagues. The gift box really adds to the product and makes it look extra special. I cannot recommend Irish Pens highly enough. This was the seventh pen that I ordered from them.
Thank you Nicola for your kind words and continued support for our little business, as you know every pen sale is very personal to us. Delighted your sisters are so happy with your thoughtful and creative gift. Richard
The pen looks fantastic, the weight feels good in the hand and it smells like old wood, a good thingy.
The ink converters/ ink pumps are of superior quality. The Bock size #6 EFine nib writes really nice. I got an Ogham inscription and it adds that top shelf look to the pen.
I recommend this pen maker and their great correspondence.
Based on the pen I ordered, I believe all their pens are top shelf and worthy of being purchased.
Hi Terence,
Thank you so much for your feedback, I know how important these pens were to you and that makes your comments so special to us. Hope to meet up for a coffee when you are in Ireland next. Richard
