Named after Ireland’s longest river, the Shannon fountain pen is a celebration of Irish heritage, history, and craftsmanship. Handmade from rare English Plane wood—also known as London Plane—and adorned with bright chrome trim, it is a writing instrument designed to inspire every time it is used.

This pen’s wood is inspired by a 200-year-old English Plane tree that stands near the Book of Kells Experience at Trinity College Dublin. Paying homage to the iconic Book of Kells (which was preserved for centuries in our town of Kells before moving to Trinity College in the mid-1600s), we have handcrafted each pen from English Plane wood with care and reverence for its historic ties.

The Shannon fountain pen is fitted with a premium German-engineered size 6 nib, offering a smooth, consistent writing experience—even for discerning fountain pen users.

It accepts all international standard-sized ink cartridges and converters. Each pen is supplied with a black ink cartridge and an ink pump converter for those who prefer bottled ink.
