Woodland Gift Set – Irish Burled Elm & Bog Oak Fountain and Rollerball Pens with Rhodium & Gold Trim

We crafted this Woodland Gift Set using two of Ireland’s most characterful native woods: burled Irish Elm and 5,000-year-old Irish Bog Oak. These classically designed writing instruments reflect Ireland’s natural beauty and cultural depth—offering a truly authentic, heritage-inspired gift.

The burled Irish Elm used in this set was sourced from offcuts once owned by a Midlands-based clockmaker. After 30 years in storage, the wood was deemed too small for his craft—but ideal for ours. Only a small portion of that Elm was burled, making these pens particularly rare and visually striking.

Complementing the Elm is ancient Irish Bog Oak, older than the Pyramids, preserved for millennia in Irish bog waters. Each pen reveals deep blackness and organic grain patterns—finished in traditional oils used by Irish sculptors to bring out the richness of the wood’s surface and history.

This luxury writing set includes a fountain pen and a rollerball pen, both featuring jewellery-grade Rhodium and Gold Titanium trim. The fountain pen is fitted with a German-made size 5 nib and accepts international standard ink cartridges and converters. The rollerball pen is supplied with a Swiss-made refill, using Swiss ink and components. All refills and nibs are globally available or stocked on our website.
