Feadán Fountain Pen – Handmade from 5,000-Year-Old Irish Bog Oak with Size 6 German Nib
The Feadán pen range is our tribute to simplicity, heritage, and design. “Feadán” (fa-don), the Irish word for tube, reflects both the minimalist design and the functional beauty of this handmade writing instrument. Designed to make everyday writing more enjoyable, the pen’s streamlined shape allows feelings to flow effortlessly to the page.
Crafted from ancient Irish Bog Oak—older than the Pyramids—this pen carries the spirit of Irish history in every grain. Preserved for over 5,000 years in Irish peat bogs, the timber emerges with a distinctive black hue and a natural texture that makes each pen utterly unique. We hand-turn the wood in our workshop and finish it with oils traditionally used by Irish Bog Oak sculptors, preserving its natural beauty and ancient character.
The pen’s tubular design is both tactile and functional. Lining up the wood grain when capping the pen adds a delightful ritual to its use. Whether resting on a desk or in the hand, the Feadán fountain pen offers visual elegance and writing precision.
Ink Compatibility & Writing Performance
Each Feadán fountain pen features a German-manufactured size 6 iridium-point nib (medium) for a consistently smooth writing experience. The pen accepts international standard ink cartridges and comes with a reusable converter, making it ideal for those who prefer bottled ink.
