Emerald Forest Green - Ballpoint

Handmade Emerald Ballpoint Pen in Forest Green – Luxury Irish Writing Pen Gift by Irish Pens

Catherine and Richard Daly hand-turned, assembled, and posted the wooden body of your pen from our workshop in Ireland's heritage capital, County Meath, Kells.

The wood at the heart of your pen:

This Forest Green twist pen is made by dyeing local wood with beautiful emerald and dark colours in our workshop and laminating the boards to make the pen body. When turned on the lathe, the colours blend to produce this stunning, colourful pattern to make your everyday writing task fun.

Your pen's wood grain and colour are as individual as your fingerprints.

  • The trim of your pen:
The trim is a bright Gold.
  • The refill in your pen:

Your pen is a ballpoint pen using a cross-pen-style refill. The refill uses water-based ink and delivers an excellent, easy writing experience. The ballpoint's advantage is its super ink flow, which allows your words to flow easily to the paper. The refill is quick to dry and not prone to smudging. It is widely available in all good stationery stores and on our website. Click this link to order the refill for this pen.

  • How to change the refill

At Irish Pens, we are delighted to pay homage to the woods at the heart of our handmade pen by sponsoring the planting of Native Irish Trees in the forest of Avoca, Co. Wicklow, Ireland, through the Tree Council of Ireland's tree sponsorship scheme. A proportion of the sale of your pen has made this possible.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the next best time is now.

  • The pen case:

Each pen is housed in a satin-lined luxury case and sheathed in a plush black velvet pouch, offering a refined unboxing experience for you, worthy of its heritage.

We post our pen in a mailer with no bubble wrap, and the bag that holds the pen and the information card is fully recyclable.

Over four billion plastic pens and their packaging go to landfills in the USA alone yearly. When the refill is empty, change it and keep using your pen. It's all the small things we do that help the environment.
