Woodland ballpoint Emerald (Gold) | Fact Sheet

Your pen is called a

Woodland Emerald Ballpoint with jewellery-grade Rhodium and Titanium trim

Handcrafted Emerald Green Wood Ballpoint Pen Made in Ireland

The wooden body of your pen was hand-turned, the pen assembled, and posted, all from our workshop in Ireland's heritage capital, Kells, County Meath, by Catherine & Richard Daly.

  • The wood in your pen:

Emerald Green Laminated Wood embodies both strength and symbolism — a fusion of modern craftsmanship and Ireland's timeless heritage. The deep, lustrous green evokes the rolling hills, moss-covered stone walls, and vibrant fields that earned our island its poetic name, the Emerald Isle. Carefully layered and dyed to create depth and resilience, this wood captures the energy and renewal of Ireland's landscapes while offering a smooth, balanced feel in the hand. Writing with this pen becomes more than putting ink to paper — it's a quiet tribute to Ireland's enduring creativity, where nature, colour, and craftsmanship meet in perfect harmony.

Your pen's wood grain and colour are as individual as your fingerprints.

  • The trim of your pen:

The pen trim is jewellery-grade Titanium gold with Rhodium accents, which complements the beautiful Emerald wood of the pen's body.

  • Advance the refill:

To advance and retract the refill, twist the pen cap; the twist mechanism is German-manufactured to deliver a smooth but positive operation

  • The refill in your pen:

Your pen is a ballpoint pen using a Parker-type ballpoint refill. With its oil-based ink, the refill delivers an excellent, easy writing experience. The advantage of the ballpoint is the virties of surfaces it will write on, its quick to dry and not pron to smudging. This refill is widely available in all good stationery stores and on our website. Click this link to order the refill for this pen.

  • How to change the refill

At Irish Pens, we are delighted to pay homage to the woods at the heart of our handmade pen by sponsoring the planting of Native Irish Trees in the forest of Avoca, Co. Wicklow, Ireland, through the Tree Council of Ireland's tree sponsorship scheme. A proportion of the sale of your pen has made this possible.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the next best time is now.

 The pen case:

Each pen is housed in a satin-lined luxury case and sheathed in a plush black velvet pouch, offering a refined unboxing experience for you, worthy of its heritage.

We post our pen in a Jiffy Green padded mailer with no bubble wrap, and the bag that holds the pen and the information card is fully recyclable..

Over 4 billion plastic pens and their packaging go to landfill in the USA alone every year, so when your refill is empty, change it and keep using your pen. Its all the small things we do that help the environment.

If you have any questions about your pen, please contact us at richard@irishpens.ie. We will be delighted to chat with you; please enjoy your pen.
