Your pen is called a

Sheelin Rainbow Wood ballpoint pen Titanium and Gold trim

Your pen's wooden body is hand-turned, finished to a high shine, assembled and posted from our workshop in Ireland's heritage capital of Kells County by Richard and Catherine Daly.

  • The wood in your pen:

This Rainbow twist pen is made by dyeing local wood with beautiful, bright colours in our workshop and laminating the boards to make the pen body. When turned on the lathe, the Rainbow Wood produces this stunning, colourful pen to make your everyday writing task fun.

Your pen's wood grain and colour are as individual as your fingerprints.

  • The trim of your pen:
The trim is Black, titanium, and gold, which complements the beauty of the Olive Wood.
  • The refill in your pen:

Your pen is a ballpoint pen using a Parker-type ballpoint refill. With its oil-based ink, the refill delivers an excellent, easy writing experience. The advantage of the ballpoint is the virties of surfaces it will write on, its quick to dry and not pron to smudging. This refill is widely available in all good stationery stores and on our website. Click this link to order the refill for this pen.

  • How to change the refill

At Irish Pens, we are delighted to pay homage to the woods at the heart of our handmade pen by sponsoring the planting of Native Irish Trees in the forest of Avoca, Co. Wicklow, Ireland, through the Tree Council of Irelands tree sponsorship scheme. A proportion of the sale of your pen has made this possible.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the next best time is now.

  •  The pen case:
We supply your pen in a stylish blue case that will protect it and ensure it is always at hand for use. We moved away from single-use pen boxes because putting a pen box in the bin is not part of our philosophy to reduce waste wherever possible.

We post our pen in a Jiffy Green padded without bubble wrap.

Over 4 Billion plastic pens and their packaging go to landfills in the USA alone every year, so when the refill is empty, change it and keep using your pen. It is all the small things we do that help the environment.
