Sheelin Purple Heart ballpoint pen Titanium and Gold trim
This pen was chosen especially for you.
A meaningful gift to celebrate your words, your thoughts, and the moments you choose to put them to paper. Whether you’re jotting down dreams, writing heartfelt letters, or signing your next big idea, may this pen remind you of how powerful your words can be.
Wishing you inspiration with every stroke.
Your pen's wooden body was hand-turned, and the pen was assembled and posted by Catherine and Richard Daly in our workshop in Ireland's heritage capital of Kells County Meath.
- The wood in your pen:
Purpleheart wood (yes, it really is that colour!) comes all the way from the lush forests of Central and South America. That stunning shade you see? It’s 100% natural—no dyes, no tricks, just Mother Nature showing off.
We simply give it the love it deserves—hand-turning, sanding, and polishing it to a gorgeous shine that protects the wood while letting its vibrant beauty shine through.
And the best part? No two pens are the same. The grain and colour of your pen are as unique as your own fingerprints—because something this special should be one of a kind.

- The refill in your pen:
Your pen is a ballpoint pen using a Parker-type ballpoint refill. With its oil-based ink, the refill delivers an excellent, easy writing experience. The advantage of the ballpoint is the versatility of surfaces it will write on, it's quick to dry and not prone to smudging. This refill is widely available in all good stationery stores and on our website. Click this link to order the refill for this pen.
- How to change the refill
At Irish Pens, we are delighted to pay homage to the woods at the heart of our handmade pen by sponsoring the planting of Native Irish Trees in the forest of Avoca, Co. Wicklow, Ireland, through the Tree Council of Ireland's tree sponsorship scheme. A proportion of the sale of your pen has made this possible.
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the next best time is now.
