The wooden body of your pen was hand-turned, the pen was assembled and posted all from our workshop in Ireland's heritage capital of Kells, County Meath, by Catherine & Richard Daly.

Irish Oak is the heart of this handcrafted pen and comes from Ireland’s national tree, often known as the “King of the Forest.” For centuries, the oak has been revered as a symbol of strength, wisdom, and endurance.

The acorn, from which the mighty oak grows, represents humble beginnings, patience, faith, longevity, and personal growth. It serves as a reminder that great achievements often begin with the smallest of beginnings.

In Irish folklore, oak trees were regarded as sacred. An oak door was believed to protect a home from bad spirits, while the tree itself was seen as a gateway to knowledge, wisdom, and courage. Deeply rooted in Ireland’s heritage, the oak continues to symbolize resilience, stability, and lasting strength.

The trim is Black titanium and gold which complement the beautiful hew of the Irish oak.
  • The refill in your pen:

Your pen is a ballpoint pen using a Parker-type ballpoint refill. With its oil-based ink, the refill delivers an excellent, easy writing experience. The advantage of the ballpoint is the virtues of the surfaces it will write on, it's quick to dry and not prone to smudging. We post our pen in a mailer with no bubble wrap, and the bag that holds the pen and the information card is fully recyclable.
