Catherine and Richard Daly assembled, engraved and posted the wooden body of your pen from our workshop in Ireland's heritage capital, Kells, County Meath. 

 

The wood at the heart of your pen:

Mother Nature is filled with beautiful and unique treasures that go beyond our wildest dreams. No colours or dyes have been used in this wood; it is as Mother Nature made it. Rosewoods are used to craft high-end instruments and furniture due to the well-known durability of this tree species; it also makes for a beautiful pen. 
Your pen's wood grain and colour are as individual as your fingerprints.

The trim is black chrome.
  • The refill in your pen:

Your pen is a ballpoint pen using a Parker-type refill. The refill utilises water-based ink, providing an excellent and easy writing experience. The ballpoint's advantage is its super ink flow, which allows your words to flow easily onto the paper. The refill is quick-drying and not prone to smudging. At Irish Pens, we are delighted to pay homage to the woods at the heart of our handmade pen by sponsoring the planting of Native Irish Trees in the forest of Avoca, Co. Wicklow, Ireland, through the Tree Council of Ireland's tree sponsorship scheme. A proportion of the sale of your pen has made this possible.

  •  The pen case:
We supply your pen in a stylish black case that protects it and ensures it is always at hand for use. We moved away from single-use pen boxes because putting a pen box in the bin is not part of our philosophy to reduce waste wherever possible.

We post our pen in a Jiffy Green padded mailer without bubble wrap. The bag that holds the pen and the information card is fully recyclable.

Over four billion plastic pens and their packaging go to landfills in the USA alone yearly. When the refill is empty, change it and keep using your pen. It's all the small things we do that help the environment.
