The wooden body of your pen was hand-turned, assembled, and posted, all from our workshop in Ireland's heritage capital, Kells County Meath, by Catherine & Richard Daly.

Irish Bog Oak is at the heart of your hand-crafted pen. This extraordinary wood predates the Pyramids, embodying a legacy over 5,000 years old. Its allure lies in its distinct feel, rich colour, and profound history. To preserve these qualities, we finished your pen using the finest beeswax, just as Ireland's best Bog Oak sculptors do, allowing you to experience the full depth of its ancient heritage every time you hold it. Just as Ireland's literary giants crafted timeless works, let this pen inspire your own creativity.

  • The trim of your pen:
The trim is bright chrome, which complements the beautiful darkness of Irish Bog Oak.
  • The refill in your pen:

Your pen is a ballpoint pen using a Parker-type ballpoint refill. With its oil-based ink, the refill delivers an excellent, easy writing experience. The ballpoint's advantage is the variety of surfaces it will write on; it is quick to dry and not prone to smudging. This refill is widely available in all good stationery stores and on our website.
