Shipping policy updated 2024
Shipping Policy’s
As of 26th January 2022, we charge 23% vat on all orders shipped within the EU. UK orders have a minimum order value of £135. In accordance with EU/UK rules vat is charged on orders to Northern Ireland but not on orders to England, Scotland and Wales, clients in thease regions become the importer and they are responsible for vat and any related charges. No duty is payable on goods sold between ROI and the UK.
For clients outside the EU and UK(ex NI), we do not charge Vat. Customs and import duties are the client's responsibility.
All orders (excluding refills, ink and some accessories) are shipped track & trace registered post via Ireland's national postal service, "An Post."
Pen orders can be tracked at https://www.anpost.com/Post-Parcels/Track/Search.
ROI Orders. An Post tracks the packet in the Irish Republic and provides a signature as proof of delivery. If you miss the delivery, An Posts policy is to leave a note letting you know where to collect your packet. It is your responsibility to collect that packet. If you do not, An Post will return the package to us after a period of time. We charge €20 to repack, contact you and resend the packet. Once a delivery or attempted delivery is confirmed by An Post Irish Pens will have met our delivery responsibilities, and the order will have been deemed completed.
International orders. An Post tracks the packet and confirms its arrival in the receiving country, An Post relies on data from the receiving country's postal service regarding delivery progress in that jurisdiction. Irish Pens does not control any part of the postal service process. We will support clients in the event of late delivery. However, we see the same information our clients do when viewing the An Post track and trace website in the link above.
The process to identify the whereabouts of a packet once posted is controlled by An Post; we will only send a replacement pen when An Post confirms to us that the package is officially lost; the timing of that process is in the control of An Post, and is totally out of the hands of Irish Pens.
To the 1st September 2023, Irish Pens has yet to have a registered packet that has yet to arrive with its client worldwide.
We do not make any profit from postage, nor do we offer FREE SHIPPING, as there is no such thing! If you know of a company that will deliver our pens free of charge for us, please let us know!
Our inner packing is all recyclable, and our mailer bag is biodegradable. We do not use any bubble wrap in our packaging.
