We have matched the carbon fiber to the highest jewellery grade Rhodium trim with Titanium accents and accents to produce our Grove carbon fiber ballpoint pen. The black carbon fiber is set in crystal clear acrylic; we hand turn it as we do our wood pens and finish the pen to an ultra-high shine so the carbon fiber can be enjoyed from any angle you hold yourWe have installed an all Swiss-made ballpoint refill with Swiss ink and Swiss components to insure the pen delivers the best possible writing experience. If you are looking for a special gift that will become part of its owner’s life and will acknowledge their creative personality, the Grove carbon fiber pen, we believe, will deliver on your expectations.

In 1860 carbon fibre was used in the early incandescent light bulb by Sir Joseph Wilson Swan; using a baking process called "pyrolysis", he turned cotton or bamboo at very high temperatures into carbon to make the filament of light bulbs. When tungsten became the light bulb filament of choice in the early 1900s, carbon fiber was rendered obsolete for the next 50 years or so.
In 1958 the first petroleum-based carbon fiber’s were accidentally produced; in the ’60s, Rolls Royce was using carbon fiber in their jet engines.
Since the late 1970s, improved manufacturing processes have aided in reduced production costs and improved strength and elasticity; this led engineers in the 1990s and 2000s to finally fully understand the vast potential of carbon fiber in various manufacturing applications, making it a favourite design choice today. So while not as old as the fountain pen its self is not as modern as you may have thought!

As a personal, corporate or club gift, no other pen in the world is exactly like yours!

Sustainability is high on everyone’s agenda; using one of our handmade pens and only replacing the refill, you help the environment by not contributing to the BILLIONS of plastic biros that go to landfills every year.
